Senior Manager, Store Development & Planning at Richemont in New York. Lead luxury retail construction projects across the Americas with $130K–$150K salary.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead location scouting and feasibility analysis for new retail locations, developing budget and project timelines
- Conduct design research and create design mood boards in alignment with brand heritage and luxury standards
- Coordinate with internal and external design teams, architects, and consultants throughout schematic and design development phases
- Identify and lead the bidding process for project architects, consultants, and general contractors to ensure budget and quality alignment
- Collaborate with legal, IT, security, and landlord representatives to ensure compliance with local codes and design intent
- Manage architectural drawing reviews and monitor permit acquisition timelines
- Lead the tender phase with architects and quantity surveying consultants, reviewing scope of work with bidding contractors
- Oversee the complete project lifecycle from conception through construction to closeout, managing approximately 5 retail construction projects annually across the Americas
- Direct construction management activities and coordinate between store development teams, internal local teams, consultants, and vendors
- Manage construction turnover and resolution of punch list items
- Track and report project costs, process invoices, and reconcile with finance departments on a regular basis
- Procure and coordinate owner-supplied items throughout the project lifecycle
- Maintain accurate status reports and present project updates in stakeholder meetings
- Travel up to 30% to oversee on-site project activities and manage vendor relationships across multiple locations
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in store design, retail construction management, or related field
- In-house store planning experience preferred
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Excel, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Project, and PowerPoint
- Deep expertise in construction materials, methods, timelines, costs, and budgeting
- Extensive knowledge of architecture and ability to read and interpret architectural drawings
- Comprehensive understanding of building codes, permitting requirements, ADA compliance, energy regulations, and related compliance standards
- Demonstrated ability to review, analyze, understand, and negotiate bids from architectural firms, general contractors, quantity surveyors, and construction management firms
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds as required
- Minimum availability of 4 days per week in the New York office
