Montblanc seeks a Senior Lean Expert in Hamburg, Germany to drive process improvement and organizational transformation across manufacturing operations.
Role & Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a sustainable, enterprise-wide Lean strategy aligned with organizational objectives
- Initiate, lead, and drive cross-functional improvement programs and projects to achieve ambitious targets in productivity, quality, cycle time, and on-time delivery
- Analyze complex production processes and material flows; design and implement sustainable, cross-departmental optimization concepts using Lean principles
- Select, develop, and implement appropriate Lean methodologies and frameworks tailored to specific operational challenges
- Diagnose complex process disruptions, bottlenecks, and interdepartmental conflicts; collaborate with stakeholders to develop and drive viable solutions
- Champion Lean transformation and new ways of working; cultivate organizational change and empower employees and leaders to embrace Lean philosophy
- Identify, evaluate, and integrate best practices and emerging Lean methodologies; support selection and implementation of equipment and technologies through a Lean lens
- Serve as a Lean culture multiplier; support continuous improvement (KVP) initiatives, disseminate Lean knowledge, and build capability for independent application across the organization
Qualifications
- Completed technical degree in engineering, industrial engineering, production engineering, or equivalent professional qualification
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience applying Lean Production principles and methodologies, ideally in a manufacturing environment
- Deep knowledge of standard Lean tools and methods including value stream mapping, 5S, SMED, Kanban, KVP, TPM, and Six Sigma; demonstrated success in improving lead times and operational efficiency
- Proven experience managing organizational change initiatives and implementing new working methods
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills; demonstrated ability to engage employees for change and build capability
- Structured, solution-oriented, and independent work approach; willingness to work actively and hands-on on the production floor
- Openness to new methodologies and approaches; commitment to testing and implementing innovations in practice
- Fluent German and proficient English (spoken and written)

Minimum 5 years of professional experience applying Lean Production principles and methodologies in a manufacturing or production environment, with demonstrated success in implementing process improvements and leading cross-functional initiatives.
Education
Completed technical degree in engineering, industrial engineering, production engineering, or equivalent professional qualification.
