Richemont seeks a Senior HR Manager for Van Cleef & Arpels in Sydney to lead HR strategy and operations across Oceania.
Role & Responsibilities
- Act as the senior HR business partner for Van Cleef & Arpels across Oceania, advising senior leadership on people strategy, organisational design and workforce planning.
- Drive talent acquisition and onboarding for boutique, corporate and wholesale roles in Australia and neighbouring markets, ensuring alignment with maison standards.
- Lead performance management, succession planning and leadership development programmes tailored to luxury retail and client-facing operations.
- Manage employee relations, local industrial relations matters and ensure compliance with Australian employment law and regional regulations.
- Oversee compensation and benefits administration in collaboration with Richemont central HR and payroll providers, ensuring market competitiveness and internal equity.
- Design and implement training initiatives to elevate product knowledge, clienteling and service excellence across retail teams.
- Partner with global People & Culture teams to deploy group policies, HRIS updates and global talent programmes locally.
- Own HR metrics, reporting and continuous improvement of HR processes to support commercial objectives and a high-performance culture.
- Lead change management for local implementations (store openings, restructures, seasonal ramp-ups) and act as a visible ambassador of the brand’s values.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology or a related discipline; postgraduate qualification or HR certification preferred (e.g., AHRI, CIPD).
- Demonstrable track record in senior HR roles within luxury retail, premium consumer goods or hospitality.
- Proven capability in employee relations and employment law within the Australian jurisdiction.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience partnering to sales-driven operations and boutique networks.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to influence senior leaders and operate cross-functionally.

Experience
Minimum seven years of progressive HR experience with at least three years in a senior HR business partner or managerial role, ideally within luxury retail, premium hospitality or a related consumer-facing sector. Experience managing HR operations across multiple markets in the Oceania region is highly desirable.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or related field; postgraduate degree or recognised HR certification preferred.
