Richemont seeks a Senior Watchmaker in Fort Worth, USA — senior watchmaker role in an authorised atelier delivering luxury after‑sales service.
Role & Responsibilities
- Diagnose, service and repair high‑end mechanical and quartz wristwatches, including chronographs and common complications, to maison technical standards.
- Perform complete movement overhauls, regulation and timing, water‑resistance testing, case/bracelet adjustments and final quality control inspection.
- Operate specialised bench equipment (timing machines, ultrasonic cleaners, demagnetisers) and maintain meticulous service records and technical documentation.
- Adhere strictly to authorised parts use, brand service procedures and warranty protocols while ensuring turnaround and quality targets are met.
- Mentor and coach junior watchmakers and technicians; contribute to skills transfer, workshop best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Liaise with parts supply, service administration and client relations to resolve technical enquiries and ensure superior after‑sales experience.
Qualifications
- WOSTEP diploma, Swiss watchmaking certificate or equivalent formal watchmaking qualification preferred.
- Demonstrable expertise with mechanical movements, chronographs and common complications at a luxury/haute horlogerie level.
- Excellent manual dexterity, steady micro‑assembly skills and acute visual acuity under magnification.
- Ability to read technical schematics and follow manufacturer service bulletins and standards.
- Strong adherence to quality control procedures and traceability of serviced components.
Skills
Experience
Minimum of five years servicing luxury wristwatches, with demonstrable exposure to high‑precision mechanical calibres and experience working in an authorized service centre or haute horlogerie atelier preferred.
Education
WOSTEP or equivalent watchmaking diploma preferred; completion of a recognised apprenticeship in watchmaking is acceptable.
