Richemont is seeking a Senior General Accountant in Paris to support reliable accounting and financial information, lead closing activities, prepare statutory reporting and tax declarations, and contribute to accounting projects. The role requires at least 10 years of general accounting experience, knowledge of IFRS and PCG, and proficiency with SAP and Excel.
Role & Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with statutory (FR GAAP) and Group (IFRS) accounting standards, as well as local and Group tax rules.
- Ensure the quality and reliability of financial information, particularly statutory and Group financial statements, within legal and Group deadlines.
- Maintain current tax compliance.
- Contribute to the integrity and reliability of the company’s accounting and financial information.
- Participate actively in monthly and annual closing processes.
- Analyze and review accounts and provision adjustments.
- Prepare adjusting entries and monthly and annual reporting under both French GAAP (PCG) and IFRS.
- Produce statutory financial statements, including tax and profit-sharing calculations.
- Record and control routine accounting transactions in accordance with IFRS and PCG.
- Manage interfaces and data transfers between management tools and SAP.
- Contribute to or lead accounting projects, including process and data-quality improvements and operational efficiency initiatives.
- Analyze existing processes, propose improvements and implement new procedures, including creating new accounts where necessary and setting up transaction interfaces and transfers.
- Prepare and review tax returns, including annual tax packages, VAT, CVAE and CFE declarations.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors.
- Carry out other accounting tasks as required by the department.
