Senior Export Specialist at Richemont in Grand Prairie, TX – lead export operations, compliance, and team development for luxury jewelry and watches.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiencies within export workflows
- Audit export shipments and maintain documentation in the document control SharePoint system
- Develop, facilitate, and deliver training programs for the export team
- Create, review, and update work instructions and standard operating procedures for all export processes
- Serve as primary point of contact for upcoming projects, corporate audits, and export compliance inquiries
- Manage and maintain export licenses, permits, and certifications required for specific products
- Provide support and training to internal teams on export requirements and international best practices
- Prepare and oversee daily export shipments to multiple countries, including Canada, Switzerland, Germany, Latin America, and the Caribbean
- Work with customs brokers and government agencies to secure prompt shipment releases from US Customs and Partner Government Agencies
- Verify shipment documentation for proper valuation, classification, country of origin, and regulatory requirements
- File and troubleshoot Electronic Export Information (EEI) issues
- Liaise with shippers, consignees, third-party logistics providers, customs brokers, and overseas offices
- Execute additional export operations tasks as assigned
Qualifications
- 3+ years of export operations experience, with at least 1+ years in a senior or lead role
- Strong understanding of export controls and regulations
- Advanced working knowledge of Titles 19 and 49 CFR
- Demonstrated understanding of USHTS (US Harmonized Tariff Schedule)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of Partner Government Agencies regulations and processes
- Functional knowledge of US Customs ACE Portal (preferred)
- SAP knowledge (preferred)
- ACE Direct reporting capability (preferred)
- Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) experience (preferred)
- USFWS experience (preferred)
- Customs Broker License (preferred)
- Dangerous Goods Certification (preferred)
Skills
Experience
3+ years of export operations experience, with at least 1+ years in a senior or lead capacity. Candidates should demonstrate proven expertise in export controls, customs regulations, and international shipment management.
Education
College education preferred. Customs Broker License and Dangerous Goods Certification are valued additions to the candidate profile.
Workplace
The successful candidate will be located in Grand Prairie, Texas, USA, with easy access to Dallas.
