Senior Finance Accountant at Richemont Japan, Tokyo. Manage tax, reporting, and accounting operations for luxury retail network.
Role & Responsibilities
- Calculate and prepare tax returns and register tax filings
- Perform monthly and annual financial closings and consolidated reporting
- Ensure accuracy of sales and cost of goods sold accounts
- Verify compliance with group accounting standards and Japanese/international accounting principles (J-GAAP and IFRS)
- Coordinate with external and internal audit teams
- Lead process improvement initiatives and system enhancement proposals
- Drive digitalization, paperless operations, and workflow simplification projects
- Implement new accounting processes and schemes
- Collaborate with logistics, procurement, finance, IT, and cross-functional teams to support business operations
Qualifications
- Minimum 3+ years of general accounting experience in a business environment or equivalent
- Proficiency in general accounting principles, IFRS, J-GAAP, and taxation
- Strong Excel and financial systems skills with adaptability to new environments
- Fluent oral and written communication in both English and Japanese
- SAP experience preferred
- Tax filing experience at an accounting firm preferred

Minimum 3+ years of comprehensive accounting experience in a business environment, or equivalent-level finance operations background. Experience with luxury retail or multi-location accounting environments is advantageous.
Education
Education in accounting, finance, or related business discipline preferred; professional accounting qualifications (such as CPA or equivalent) are valued.
