Role & Responsibilities

• Analyze end-to-end business processes and translate business needs into functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
• Lead and facilitate design workshops and requirements-gathering sessions with stakeholders across multiple disciplines
• Configure SAP ECC/MM backend procurement processes and Ariba Buying modules to meet specific business requirements, ensuring adherence to product guardrails
• Design and implement non-standard configurations including UX customization, process logic, and field mapping within SAP Ariba
• Validate configurations through comprehensive testing scenarios and coordinate user acceptance testing with business users
• Support backlog refinement and prioritization with Product Owners, providing process insights and impact analysis
• Manage integrations between SAP ECC/MM, Ariba Buying, and the SAP Business Network using CIG, cXML, and API technologies
• Oversee procurement lifecycle flows including purchase requisition to purchase order, confirmations, goods receipt, and multi-channel procurement channels
• Ensure security governance across API implementations, including authentication, quotas, throttling, and versioning standards
• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans including unit testing, integration testing, and defect management
• Document functional knowledge, create process playbooks, and suggest ongoing optimizations to enhance user experience

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of demonstrated proficiency configuring SAP ECC/MM module across full lifecycle implementations
• 2–5 years of hands-on experience with Ariba Buying module configuration including catalog management, requisitioning, approvals, order management, and invoicing
• Proven expertise in leading and executing multiple end-to-end SAP ECC/MM and Ariba Buying implementations
• Advanced knowledge of SAP ECC/MM backend procurement processes and configuration
• Mandatory proficiency in SAP ABAP debugging
• Deep expertise in SAP Ariba Buying and Guided Buying module functionality, including PR/PO validation, workflow, procurement policies, and catalog management
• Strong experience with Ariba administration and maintenance, including backend integration via CIG
• Comprehensive understanding of procurement lifecycle flows for indirect and services categories
• Knowledge of integrations with Supplier Management, Sourcing, and Finance modules
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements and industry standards (e.g., SOX for financial data)

Experience

Full lifecycle implementation experience with SAP ECC/MM and Ariba Buying modules, including design, configuration, testing, and go-live support. Demonstrated track record leading complex end-to-end procurement system implementations in enterprise environments. Experience with multi-stakeholder coordination and cross-functional team leadership.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related discipline, or equivalent professional experience demonstrating mastery of SAP architecture and procurement processes.
