Watchfinder & Co., New York: Sales & Purchasing Advisor for luxury pre-owned watches, $20–$28/hr plus commission.
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage appointment scheduling and diary systems, adhering to the appointment-only policy via phone and email communication
- Execute buying, selling, and price negotiations on pre-owned watches, including part-exchange transactions to secure optimal deal margins
- Welcome and demonstrate watches to in-store clients, delivering exceptional customer service and technical product knowledge
- Oversee the complete customer sales journey from initial contact through appointment, conversion, and after-sales support
- Maintain compliance with all sales, financial, and security procedures established by headquarters
- Conduct daily and monthly stock takes, managing internal stock control procedures and live order fulfillment post-payment
- Address after-sales customer inquiries and resolve order-related issues in a timely manner
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience working with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in a retail or sales environment
- Proven negotiation skills, ideally with experience in part-exchange or trade-in transactions
- Ability to absorb technical product information and execute instructions with precision
- Results-driven mindset with strong motivation to exceed sales targets
- Personable demeanor with polished professional manner and courtesy
- Excellent organizational skills with capacity to prioritize multiple workstreams independently
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities with demonstrated confidence in client-facing interactions
- Proven experience in one-to-one customer engagement, retail sales, negotiation, and telephone sales
- Commitment to adhering to company policies, procedures, and health and safety protocols
Skills
Experience
Experience in retail sales or customer-facing roles within the luxury goods sector is preferred. Candidates should demonstrate a track record of success in negotiation-based sales environments, with proven ability to manage customer interactions across multiple channels (in-person, phone, email). Familiarity with pre-owned or secondary market retail operations is advantageous but not required.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; further education or certification in sales, retail management, or business administration is advantageous.

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 20 to USD 28 per hour.
