Retail Trainee at Cartier (Richemont), Rome, Italy – 6-month internship supporting luxury boutique operations and client experiences.
Role & Responsibilities
- Welcome and orient clients within the boutique, managing traffic flow and communicating approximate waiting times
- Ensure a warm, welcoming environment contributing to an exceptional client journey from arrival to departure
- Support Sales Associates and boutique team members in preparing client appointments and coordinating operations
- Offer hospitality services and comfortable accommodations for waiting clients
- Support the replenishment and organization of boutique facilities and non-sellable materials
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of Cartier product categories and Maison heritage, embodying brand values and storytelling
- Coordinate with Sales Associates, Stockists, Cashiers and Boutique Assistants to ensure seamless operations
- Uphold all Maison policies, procedures and operational standards
- Support appointment setting and boutique special projects as required
- Accompany clients to the door upon departure, ensuring a seamless conclusion to their boutique experience
Qualifications
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong client and service orientation with a genuine interest in hospitality and luxury retail
- Proactive, flexible and adaptable approach to varying client needs
- Team-player mindset and ability to work effectively in a multicultural and fast-paced environment
- Good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency with MS Office and digital tools
- Fluent in English and Italian; additional languages an asset
- Previous experience in retail, luxury, service or hospitality is a plus
