Montblanc Hamburg: Retail Financial Coordinator – experienced accountant for e-commerce and boutique accounting operations. Full-time, permanent.
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage accounting tasks for the German e-commerce business, serving as the primary finance contact and key-user for the e-commerce team
- Post and verify payment flows including returns, maintaining open items and resolving discrepancies
- Prepare month-end closing activities, documentation, and archiving
- Conduct interim and annual stock takes in boutiques and continuously monitor goods movements
- Handle accounting back-office operations for selected boutiques, verifying postings and settlements of incoming payments, and reconciling cash balances and deposits
- Assist in the further development of internal guidelines and processes within the Internal Control System
- Support and participate in internal boutique audits
- Assist in the clarification of tax-related issues and support the implementation of localization initiatives in Germany
Qualifications
- Completed commercial training, preferably in accounting
- 3+ years of accounting experience, ideally in the retail sector
- Experience with SAP R/3 FI and proficient knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)
- Ability to work effectively in a team with a proactive mindset
- Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to work under pressure
- Confident manner and assertiveness
- Willingness to work on occasional weekends
Skills
Experience
3+ years of accounting experience, ideally within the retail sector. Proven experience with e-commerce accounting operations and boutique management accounting is advantageous.
Education
Completed commercial training, preferably with specialization or certification in accounting.
