Richemont seeks a Retail Finance Back-Office Controller for a 6-month fixed-term role in Amsterdam managing financial operations and reconciliation.
Role & Responsibilities
- Oversee daily financial transactions and account reconciliation processes across retail locations
- Manage back-office accounting operations including journal entries, account codes, and ledger postings
- Monitor financial controls and ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies and regulatory requirements
- Prepare and reconcile financial reports for submission to corporate headquarters
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial data and transaction processing
- Coordinate with retail store managers and point-of-sale systems to ensure accurate transaction recording
- Maintain audit trails and documentation for all financial transactions
Qualifications
- Proven experience in retail finance or back-office accounting operations
- Strong knowledge of financial controls and reconciliation procedures
- Proficiency with accounting software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
- Understanding of luxury retail sector or multi-location financial management
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple reconciliation tasks simultaneously
Skills
Experience
3–5 years of professional experience in retail finance, back-office accounting, or financial operations management, with demonstrated expertise in transaction processing and account reconciliation.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline. IPA (International Professional Accountant), ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants), or equivalent accounting certification is preferred.
