Richemont seeks Retail Director in New York City to oversee luxury boutique operations, P&L management, and regional retail strategy for ALAÏA Americas.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute annual business plans to maximize revenue and profitability for boutiques and contribute to regional retail division success
  • Provide strategic vision and leadership to boutique managers, inspiring high-performing teams to achieve regional objectives
  • Design and drive operational strategy to support network development and regional expansion initiatives
  • Oversee performance of four luxury boutiques, ensuring consistent delivery of KPIs and strict adherence to brand and group standards
  • Maintain full P&L accountability for assigned boutiques, including financial budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization
  • Create and manage specific business plans for each boutique through frequent visits, regular communication, and ongoing support
  • Review boutique environments and KPIs to identify opportunities and coach teams toward achieving goals
  • Ensure operational execution aligns with company and group policies, including Loss Prevention practices
  • Recruit, develop, and retain exceptional retail leaders and teams within boutiques, fostering high performance culture
  • Coach and mentor boutique managers to maximize success and develop managerial skills
  • Partner with Human Resources on staffing, talent development, and succession planning initiatives
  • Collaborate with executive management and cross-functional teams to enhance brand services and optimize supply priorities
  • Support special projects or tasks as directed by regional or global leadership

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Retail Management, or a related field
  • Minimum 10+ years of progressive experience in multi-store retail management within luxury goods sector
  • Demonstrated experience managing P&L for a retail division or multiple stores
  • Strong affinity for luxury goods with deep understanding of client experience and brand positioning
  • Exceptional leadership maturity with ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams
  • Proven ability to drive operational excellence and achieve sales and KPI targets
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills with ability to build strong relationships
  • Strategic thinker with strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities
  • High level of business and social etiquette reflecting luxury brand image
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and retail management systems (SAP)
  • Ability to travel extensively within Americas region (50-80%)

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 160,000 to USD 180,000 per annum.
