Richemont seeks Retail Controller in Madrid to manage financial controls and boutique operations across Spain. Fluent Spanish and English required.
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage and execute timely reconciliation and clearing of General Ledger accounts, including trade debtors, VAT, and deposits, with prompt identification and resolution of discrepancies
- Oversee accurate and timely completion of month-end closing tasks in adherence with Group policies and procedures
- Implement and monitor boutique collection controls encompassing Accounts Receivable, vouchers, pre-payments, and bank confirmations
- Conduct thorough reviews of boutique documentation including anti-money laundering compliance, legal invoice requirements, and payment limits
- Act as primary liaison for boutiques, providing expert guidance on operational processes and internal controls
- Participate in boutique stock counts and deliver on-site assistance and training to boutique staff
- Perform daily controls on boutique operations covering cash sales, bank accounts, cash legal issues, AML, credit card sales, and voucher payment application
- Ensure comprehensive documentation retention for audit purposes and facilitate internal and external audits
- Guarantee adherence to Brand policies, procedures, and Anti-Money Laundering regulations and Group Sanctions policy
- Generate and submit monthly reports to Maison Management for confirmation and control
- Support and enforce local internal control policies through training, communication, analysis, and reporting initiatives
- Conduct regular internal control reviews of boutique operations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field
- Minimum 3-5 years of progressive experience in retail controlling or similar roles
- Solid understanding of retail compliance regulations including Anti-Money Laundering and cash limits
- Highly analytical and detail-oriented with strong problem-solving capabilities
- Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Fluent in spoken and written Spanish and English

Experience
Minimum 3-5 years of progressive experience in retail controlling, financial operations, or related finance roles with demonstrated proficiency in managing GL reconciliations, month-end closing procedures, and compliance-driven environments.
Education
Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or a related field.
