Retail Area Manager at Van Cleef & Arpels in Seoul — lead boutique operations across the region with sales management and team supervision.
Role & Responsibilities
- Develop and execute boutique action plans to achieve commercial targets with both qualitative and quantitative performance metrics
- Manage overall turnover, sales and customer service activities while ensuring alignment with the Maison's retail and commercial policies
- Provide monthly sales estimates, set sales targets for all activities, and analyze weekly and monthly sales trends and key performance indicators
- Support boutiques in identifying and developing high-jewelry and high-ticket client segments and business opportunities
- Directly supervise daily boutique operations across the area while ensuring compliance with corporate requirements and service standards
- Conduct regular boutique visits to provide feedback and coaching to managers and staff for continuous improvement
- Monitor and control travel and entertainment costs across boutique locations
- Verify individual commission calculations, sales invoices, and supporting documentation for accuracy
- Monitor and resolve outstanding customer service claims within the region to achieve satisfaction targets
- Define recruitment criteria and conduct interviews for boutique team members
- Assess staff potential and talent within existing teams to support professional development initiatives
- Design, oversee, and monitor retail and in-boutique training programs
- Inspire and motivate boutique managers to build cohesive and productive teams
- Monitor boutique manager performance and conduct performance evaluations and disciplinary actions as required
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in sales and retail management within the luxury, fashion, or high-end retail sector
- Excellent understanding of retail selling processes, customer service delivery, and consumer behavior
- Strong leadership capabilities with proven ability to manage and develop commercial teams
- Advanced analytical skills with demonstrated ability to challenge status quo and drive performance improvement
- Fluent in Korean and English, with excellent communication abilities
- Track record of achieving commercial targets and driving boutique profitability
