Role & Responsibilities
- Assemble and mount regulating organ components (escapement, balance wheel, hairspring, pallets) to precise tolerances following technical drawings and work instructions.
- Operate microscopes, loupes and fine hand tools to perform micro-assembly and micro-adjustment tasks with consistent repeatability.
- Perform in-process inspections and dimensional controls using hand micrometers, calipers and visual gauges; document results in production records.
- Maintain extreme cleanliness and handling protocols for sensitive components (anti-magnetic, dust control, handling by tweezers), adhering to EHS and cleanroom procedures where applicable.
- Detect and report non-conformances; collaborate with quality and engineering teams to support root-cause analysis and continuous improvement.
- Contribute to cycle-time objectives and meet daily production targets while preserving quality standards.
Qualifications
- Vocational qualification or apprenticeship in watchmaking, micromechanics, precision mechanics or equivalent practical experience.
- Demonstrable manual dexterity and fine motor control suitable for micro-assembly under magnification.
- Strong visual acuity and the ability to work for extended periods at a microscope or loupe.
- Familiarity with basic metrology tools and adherence to documented manufacturing procedures.
