Role & Responsibilities
- Define and deploy regional category strategies that align global product plans with local market demand, commercial objectives and seasonal calendars.
- Own assortment planning, range architecture and lifecycle management for assigned categories across the region; optimise SKU mix to maximise sell-through and margin.
- Partner with regional commercial, retail and e‑commerce teams to execute pricing, promotional and markdown strategies, and to localise global marketing campaigns.
- Produce regular sales, margin and inventory forecasts; translate commercial KPIs into actionable plans and escalate risks and opportunities to stakeholders.
- Coordinate with global product, buying and supply-chain teams on allocation, replenishment and launch cadence to ensure on-time availability at market level.
- Develop trade marketing, visual merchandising and POS guidelines for category activations; support store-level implementation and training.
- Lead cross-functional projects (launches, rebrands, seasonal transitions) and act as regional liaison for headquarters on category performance and market feedback.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Retail Merchandising, Fashion or a related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
- Proven track record (typically 5+ years) in category management, merchandising or buying within luxury retail or premium consumer goods.
- Demonstrated experience translating assortment strategy into commercial results across multiple markets or channels.
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills, including experience working with product, sales and supply-chain teams.
- Excellent analytical capability with fluency in retail KPIs, forecasting and inventory optimisation.
