Role & Responsibilities
- Propose and experimentally validate appropriate characterization techniques tailored to specific use cases and project requirements
- Process and analyze data generated from characterization activities to support material qualification; interpret results and develop predictive models
- Participate in integrating developed techniques and exploit results to deliver concrete industrial recommendations to stakeholders
- Capitalize on acquired knowledge, disseminate experimental findings, and ensure effective collaboration among project partners
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Materials Science with strong data science competencies
- Doctorate qualification preferred
- 2–3 years of professional experience in a similar role within industrial or academic research; junior profiles with relevant experience (internships, projects, thesis) in stated domains will also be considered
- Solid grounding in materials science (crystallography, metallurgy) and ideally geology, mineralogy, or gemmology
- Deep knowledge and understanding of physicochemical characterization techniques; hands-on practice with such techniques is not mandatory
- Expert proficiency with digital tools for data processing and modeling, particularly Python libraries
- Strong analytical, synthetic, and problem-solving capabilities
- Scientific rigor, intellectual curiosity, and results-oriented mindset
- Autonomy, proactivity, collaboration, and knowledge-sharing orientation
- Fluent oral and written communication in French and English
Skills
Experience
2–3 years of professional experience in materials research, characterization, or innovation roles within industrial or academic research settings. Junior candidates with relevant academic project experience, thesis work, or internships in materials science, characterization techniques, or related domains will be considered.
Education
Master's degree in Materials Science with strong data science competencies required. Doctorate qualification is preferred.
