Richemont R&D Internship in Buttes, Switzerland – optimize quartz movement kinematics through advanced mechanical design.
Role & Responsibilities
- Conduct state-of-the-art research to identify innovative concepts for quartz movement optimization
- Execute 3D design and complete kinematic modeling using CAD software (Creo)
- Perform kinematic simulations including operational play analysis and resistant torque calculations
- Develop technical drawings and oversee component manufacturing processes
- Execute micromechanical assembly, fine-tuning, and precision calibration of prototypes
- Conduct functional characterization, measure performance metrics, and prepare technical reports and presentations for the R&I team
Qualifications
- Final-year engineering student specializing in Microtechnology or Mechanical Engineering, ideally with watchmaking construction specialization
- Expert proficiency in 3D CAD design using Creo
- Demonstrated passion for horological micromechanics, gear theory, and sophisticated mechanical mechanisms
- Strong problem-solving capabilities with creative and autonomous working approach
- Collaborative mindset with genuine enthusiasm for continuous learning

Experience
Currently enrolled as a final-year student in an accredited engineering program with demonstrable expertise in CAD-based mechanical design and a proven interest in horological mechanisms.
