Role & Responsibilities

• Support incoming and in-process quality inspections of finished jewellery and components, performing visual and dimensional checks against specifications.
• Operate basic metrology and magnification tools (calipers, micrometers, loupe, stereo microscope) to verify tolerances and gemstone settings.
• Prepare and maintain accurate quality documentation: inspection reports, non-conformance records and traceability logs.
• Assist in root-cause analysis for defects and support corrective action follow-up with ateliers and suppliers.
• Coordinate sample submission and testing with internal laboratories and external testing partners.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by collecting inspection data and identifying recurring issues.
• Support internal quality audits and help ensure compliance with company quality standards and technical specifications.
• Help manage quality-related inventory (sample parts, reference pieces) and maintain the inspection area in accordance with safety and preservation rules.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a programme in jewellery technology, gemmology, materials science, mechanical engineering or quality management.
• Strong visual acuity, manual dexterity and meticulous attention to detail.
• Basic understanding of jewellery construction, gemstones and precious metals.
• Good organisational skills with the ability to document findings clearly and consistently.
• Ability to work collaboratively with production ateliers and cross-functional teams under supervision.

Experience

Internship-level role; candidates should be students or recent graduates. Prior hands-on experience or a previous internship in jewellery manufacturing, gemological inspection or quality control is advantageous but not mandatory.

Education

Enrolled in or recently completed a Bachelor's or vocational programme in Jewellery Technology, Gemmology, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Quality Management or a closely related discipline.
