Role & Responsibilities

  • Perform traditional and contemporary enamelling techniques on watch dials and small components, including preparation, application and multiple firings.
  • Operate and maintain kilns, manage firing cycles and precisely control temperatures to achieve consistent colour and surface quality.
  • Prepare and mix enamel pigments; execute colour matching and layering to meet design specifications.
  • Execute final finishing and polishing of enamel surfaces to luxury-grade tolerances and aesthetic standards.
  • Carry out in-process and final quality checks, document production steps and report any defects or deviations.
  • Collaborate with dial designers, watchmakers and quality teams to integrate enamelling with micromechanical assembly.
  • Maintain tools, workstations and workshop cleanliness; follow workshop safety, environmental and handling protocols.
  • Support knowledge transfer by advising and occasionally training less experienced technicians when required.

Qualifications

  • Vocational training in horology, micro-mechanics, fine arts or a related craft; completion of an apprenticeship is highly valued.
  • Proven experience working as an enameller or dial-maker within haute horlogerie or high-end jewellery manufacturing.
  • Exceptional manual dexterity, fine motor control and sustained visual acuity for detailed handwork.
