Richemont seeks a Public Relations Manager in New York to lead media strategy and brand storytelling for its luxury maisons.
Role & Responsibilities
- Define and execute proactive public relations strategies to elevate brand reputation and visibility across the U.S. market.
- Cultivate and manage relationships with national and trade media, influencers and key opinion leaders within luxury, fashion and lifestyle press.
- Lead planning and delivery of press events, product launches, press previews and media tours in collaboration with brand and retail teams.
- Develop compelling press materials—press releases, media kits, Q&As and executive biographies—that translate product narratives into earned coverage.
- Oversee crisis and issues communications, preparing reactive statements, holding lines and briefing materials for senior leadership.
- Manage external PR agencies and freelancers, setting objectives, budgets, KPIs and ensuring consistent brand voice and performance.
- Coordinate cross-functional communications with marketing, retail, client services and social teams to ensure integrated storytelling.
- Monitor media coverage and performance metrics; deliver regular reporting and insights to inform strategy and demonstrate ROI.
- Advise senior executives on media opportunities, interview preparation and public-facing narratives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of PR experience, ideally within luxury goods, fashion, watches or high jewelry.
- Established media network across U.S. fashion, lifestyle and trade outlets and demonstrable success placing strategic coverage.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft elegant, concise narratives for diverse stakeholders.
- Proven experience managing agencies, budgets and multi-stakeholder launches or campaigns.
- Sound judgment in high-pressure situations and experience with issues/crisis communications.

At least 5 years of progressively responsible public relations experience, preferably managing PR for luxury maisons, product launches and national media relations in the U.S.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing, or equivalent experience.
