Richemont seeks a Production Sector Manager in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland to lead manufacturing operations and new product development in luxury watchmaking.
Role & Responsibilities
- Direct strategic operational performance across assigned sector—ensuring cost efficiency, quality standards, and adherence to production schedules and client priorities
- Anticipate product mix evolution and capacity fluctuations; manage seamless integration of new product launches
- Oversee optimal utilization of production equipment and actively contribute to capital investment strategy
- Enforce manufacturing specifications, quality control protocols, and preventive maintenance plans
- Lead commercial and logistics relationships with group clients on service and restoration business
- Pilot new product development projects through feasibility, pricing, industrialization, and first-series manufacturing phases
- Foster operational excellence through identification of improvement opportunities and resolution of complex cross-functional issues
- Recruit, motivate, and develop team members toward individual and collective objectives; create an equitable, stimulating work environment
- Manage team schedules, organize workflow, and ensure transparent, effective internal communication
- Model exemplary behavior in safety, occupational health, security, and environmental stewardship; enforce compliance across the team
Qualifications
- Engineering degree with minimum 2 years' experience in an industrial environment, OR minimum 5 years of proven experience in the watchmaking industry in a supervisory or manufacturing support role (coordinator backup, subject-matter expert, etc.)
- Comprehensive knowledge of common manufacturing processes, with particular familiarity in dial fabrication process technology
- Proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft Office suite
- Entrepreneurial mindset and proactive initiative; self-directed problem-solver
- Results-oriented with proven ability to identify and implement effective solutions
- Demonstrated leadership and team development capability; ability to inspire and align diverse stakeholders

Skills
Experience
Minimum 2 years in an industrial manufacturing environment at the supervisory or technical support level, or minimum 5 years of established experience in watchmaking/horology production with demonstrated leadership credentials.
Education
Engineering degree preferred; or equivalent substantial and proven experience in the watchmaking industry (minimum 5 years) in a supervisory or manufacturing support role.
