Richemont is hiring a Production Scheduler (Chargé d'Ordonnancement) in Buttes, Switzerland. Mid-level role in production planning for watchmaking operations.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the master production schedule to ensure on-time delivery of finished goods while optimising capacity utilisation.
  • Translate sales forecasts and confirmed orders into detailed work orders and day-by-day production plans.
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with workshop managers, procurement, quality control and external suppliers to resolve bottlenecks and sequencing conflicts.
  • Perform finite capacity planning and resource levelling for machining, assembly and finishing operations.
  • Monitor production progress and KPIs; trigger corrective actions, expedite critical items and re-sequence orders as required.
  • Manage release of production orders, routings and shop floor documentation in the ERP/MRP system.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and WIP visibility to support replenishment decisions and reduce lead times.
  • Prepare regular scheduling reports and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to raise throughput and reliability.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, manufacturing, logistics or equivalent technical discipline, or demonstrable practical experience.
  • Proven competence in production planning within precision manufacturing or high-value artisanal environments.
  • Strong analytical aptitude with experience using planning tools and generating scheduling metrics.
  • Solid organisational skills with the ability to prioritise dynamically under competing deadlines.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.

Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, manufacturing technology, logistics, supply chain management or equivalent vocational qualification.
