Richemont seeks a Product Solution Engineer specializing in Article Master Data Management (SAP Retail) in Moscavide, Portugal. Lead MDM implementations for luxury goods.
Role & Responsibilities
- Analyze end-to-end business processes and translate requirements into functional specifications for Article Master Data solutions within SAP Retail, Batch Master, SAP classification, Retail listing, assortment, and reference handling
- Design, configure, implement, and maintain Article Master systems, ensuring compliance with product guardrails and scalability standards
- Configure rules, master data, and functional settings within SAP Retail and adjacent modules (MM, SD, CS, Logistics, FICO) with attention to localization, IDOCs, and API integrations
- Document user stories, acceptance criteria, and use cases; challenge business requests to align with product strategy and standards
- Provide complex support for mass data updates, master data migrations, and data quality validation across global finance teams
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Agile teams, and Subject Matter Experts to prioritize backlog, validate feasibility, and deliver impact analysis
- Prepare test cases, validation scenarios, and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business stakeholders
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives through process optimization, template refinement, and documentation of functional knowledge and playbooks
- Support Richemont's MDM Level 2 and Front-Line Support teams with technical guidance and solution troubleshooting
Qualifications
- University degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent certified SAP qualifications (Business Informatics, Business Administration)
- Minimum 5 years of project and maintenance experience with SAP in Article Master Data functional areas
- Extensive hands-on knowledge of SAP Retail configuration and master data management across multiple modules
- Proven ability to navigate complex SAP integration scenarios and customization (localization, IDOCs, APIs, inter-module workflows)
- Demonstrated expertise switching between IT and business perspectives, translating technical capabilities into measurable business outcomes
- Knowledge of and experience with Agile methodology and continuous improvement frameworks
- Strong ethical standards and proven reliability when handling sensitive data with consistent prioritization of compliance and security

Experience
Minimum 5 years of practical project and maintenance experience with SAP, specifically in Article Master Data functional areas including SAP Retail, Batch Master configuration, SAP classification solutions, Retail listing, assortment, and reference handling. The candidate should demonstrate proficiency in complex SAP integration scenarios, end-to-end luxury product processes, and multi-module workflows across finance, supply chain, and retail domains. Background in SAP MM, SD, or SAP eWM (Logistics) modules is advantageous. Experience supporting global, multi-regional business operations and cross-functional teams in regulated environments is preferred.
Education
University degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business Informatics, Business Administration, or equivalent. Recognized SAP certifications in relevant modules (e.g., SAP Certified Associate – SAP S/4HANA Procurement, SAP Certified Associate – SAP S/4HANA Materials Management) are valued.
