Richemont seeks a Product and Trade Compliance Specialist in Grand Prairie, Texas — oversee customs classification, export controls and trade regulatory compliance.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain and execute product and trade compliance programs to ensure adherence to U.S. and international customs, export control and sanctions regimes.
  • Classify articles for customs and statistical reporting (HS/HTS, ECCN) and prepare or review import/export documentation, filings and declarations.
  • Manage licensing, permit and filing processes (export licenses, bonded inventory, free trade agreements) and maintain records to support audits and regulatory inquiries.
  • Perform denied‑party and sanctions screening, and coordinate escalation and remediation with legal and commercial stakeholders.
  • Liaise with customs brokers, freight forwarders, carriers and internal supply‑chain teams to resolve customs queries and optimize clearance processes.
  • Conduct compliance risk assessments, internal controls testing and periodic training for commercial, logistics and product teams.
  • Support internal and external audits; prepare compliance reports and recommend process improvements to reduce duty, tariff and regulatory risk.

Qualifications

  • In-depth knowledge of U.S. import/export regulations (HTS, EAR, ITAR where applicable), sanctions/embargo regimes and customs procedures.
  • Proven experience with tariff classification, export licensing and customs filings in an international merchandise environment.
  • Practical familiarity with trade compliance frameworks, record-keeping requirements and audit preparedness.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate regulatory positions to commercial, legal and operations teams.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Licensed Customs Broker, Certified Export Specialist) desirable but not mandatory.
