Richemont seeks a PR Assistant Manager in Tokyo to lead local media relations and PR activations for its maisons.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Support and execute local PR strategy for assigned maison(s) in Japan, aligned with group and regional communications priorities.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with national and trade media, digital editors, and lifestyle influencers to secure targeted coverage.
  • Draft, edit and distribute press materials (press releases, media kits, product copy, Q&As) in both Japanese and English.
  • Coordinate press events, product launches, store openings and media visits; manage logistics, guest lists and on-site briefings.
  • Act as primary liaison between local market, regional headquarters and external PR/creative agencies; ensure brand consistency and timely approvals.
  • Monitor and report on media coverage, sentiment and share of voice; produce regular coverage reports and post-campaign analyses.
  • Support influencer and celebrity engagement activities, including contract coordination, content briefs and deliverable tracking.
  • Contribute to crisis communications preparedness and rapid response when required.
  • Manage local PR budgets and vendor invoices in coordination with finance and regional teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of PR or communications experience, ideally within luxury goods, fashion, watches, jewellery or lifestyle sectors.
  • Demonstrable track record of securing editorial coverage and running successful press events in the Japanese market.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Japanese and strong professional English.
  • Experience working with PR agencies and cross‑functional global teams; strong stakeholder management.
