Richemont seeks a PR & Events Manager in Amsterdam to lead media relations and flagship event production for its luxury maisons.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Define and execute PR and events strategy for the assigned market (Benelux/Netherlands), aligned with maison positioning and global communications priorities.
  • Plan, produce and deliver high-profile events including product launches, VIP client experiences, store openings and press previews, ensuring exceptional guest experience and brand consistency.
  • Build and maintain strong, proactive relationships with national and trade media, influencers and strategic partners; prepare press materials and manage media outreach.
  • Manage external agencies and suppliers (PR agencies, event production, AV, catering), ensuring creative quality, contractual compliance and on-budget delivery.
  • Own event budgets and negotiate vendor contracts to optimise spend while preserving luxury standards.
  • Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders — retail, marketing, product, legal and global communications — to ensure seamless execution and accurate brand messaging.
  • Measure and report PR and event performance using qualitative and quantitative KPIs; provide post-event reporting and media coverage analysis.
  • Act as a brand ambassador in-market, ensuring adherence to maison creative guidelines and elevating local visibility.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or a related discipline (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Minimum 4 years of progressive PR and events experience, preferably within the luxury, fashion, watch or jewellery sectors.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-impact events and managing media relations in a high-end retail or brand environment.
  • Strong project and budget management skills with experience managing agencies and third-party suppliers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and polished presentation manner suitable for VIP and press-facing situations.
  • Comfortable working across multiple stakeholders in matrix organisations and able to prioritise competing demands.

Experience
