The Polisher handles polishing, retouching and finishing of complete components for production and customer service, in line with brand quality criteria. The role also includes project planning and coordination, team leadership, stakeholder and resource management, reporting, assurance reviews and continuous improvement. Full-time position.
Role & Responsibilities
- Polish, retouch and finish complete components for production and customer service, meeting the brand’s quality criteria.
- Develop comprehensive workstream or project plans, identifying and organizing activities in line with the organization’s project management framework and objectives.
- Oversee research, workshops and other activities, ensuring that project deliverables meet agreed specifications.
- Plan and carry out stakeholder engagement to build effective working relationships and address stakeholder needs and concerns.
- Coordinate the identification, elicitation and analysis of project requirements; document and manage them throughout the project lifecycle and verify the final deliverable.
- Identify, assess and manage project risks, issues, dependencies and constraints; escalate matters when necessary and develop mitigating solutions.
- Prepare detailed project review reports and presentations with key information, commentary and recommendations to support progress evaluation and agreement on changes.
- Lead a small project team by communicating expected outcomes and direction, coordinating task execution, and identifying opportunities to strengthen team capabilities through training, coaching and mentoring.
- Review existing operations and generate ideas for continuous improvement.
- Manage project resources and costs, provide forecasts, and explain variances at appropriate review points to support effective resource utilization.
- Assign short-term work schedules to team members to meet expectations within established timelines.
- Prepare moderately complex documents using applications such as standard office software, and gather and summarize data for reports.
- Draft product documentation and user-training materials to support transition to business as usual, contribute to post-project reviews and identify lessons learned.
- Conduct project assurance reviews, facilitate independent third-party reviews, and address identified issues to maintain senior stakeholders’ confidence in delivery on time, within budget and to quality standards.
- Develop professional capabilities through assessment and development planning, formal and informal training, and coaching; maintain external professional accreditation where relevant; and stay informed about technology, regulations and industry best practices through ongoing education, conferences and specialist media.
Qualifications
- Upper secondary school education.
- Sound experience and understanding of straightforward procedures or systems.
