Richemont seeks a Polisher in Fort Worth: precise finishing of high‑end jewellery and watch components in a craft atelier.
Role & Responsibilities
- Execute precise hand and machine polishing on precious‑metal and watch components to achieve specified gloss, satin or matte finishes.
- Select and apply appropriate abrasives, polishing compounds and buffing wheels to meet surface quality standards.
- Inspect parts under magnification for scratches, burs, tool marks and conformity to technical drawings; flag and repair defects.
- Maintain polishing equipment, tools and consumables; perform routine cleaning and calibration to ensure consistent results.
- Collaborate with quality control, bench jewellers and assembly teams to meet production schedules and product specifications.
- Document work progress, material consumption and any non‑conformances in line with atelier procedures.
- Adhere to health, safety and handling procedures for polishing compounds and precious metals.
Qualifications
- Exceptional manual dexterity and steady hand; superior eye for surface finish and micro‑detail.
- Familiarity with polishing techniques for precious metals (gold, silver, platinum) and stainless steels.
- Ability to read and interpret basic technical drawings and finishing specifications.
- Knowledge of polishing abrasives, diamond paste and compound selection.
- Strong commitment to quality, patience for repetitive fine work and adherence to atelier standards.
Skills
Experience
Previous experience polishing precious‑metal jewellery or watch components is preferred; prior atelier or luxury manufacturing experience is an advantage. Apprenticeship or vocational exposure to metal finishing will be considered.
Education
Vocational qualification or apprenticeship in jewellery making, watchmaking, metalwork or relevant craft training preferred; secondary education completion expected.
