Van Cleef & Arpels seeks a Production Planner in Paris to manage high jewelry manufacturing schedules and workshop coordination.
Role & Responsibilities
- Allocate pieces and manage workload and capacity across jewelry artisans and lapidary specialists, providing support to workshop chiefs in portfolio oversight
- Develop macro-level production schedules to establish and confirm delivery dates across all product categories
- Plan and monitor after-sales service scheduling and completion
- Track adherence to quotations and technical product specifications throughout the production cycle
- Monitor production timelines and identify bottlenecks to ensure on-time delivery
- Analyze and pilot artisan workload distribution and capacity utilization to identify optimization opportunities
- Interface with development teams to coordinate portfolio tracking and new product integration
- Generate activity reporting and performance metrics to ensure optimal load-to-capacity alignment
- Consolidate and oversee gemstone supply chain logistics and procurement tracking
Qualifications
- Supply chain training or formal education in operations management
- Proficiency with Excel, with demonstrated competency in advanced functions and data analysis
- Hands-on experience with SAP enterprise resource planning systems
- Working knowledge of analytical tools including Power BI and Power Query
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Demonstrated rigor and attention to detail in complex scheduling environments
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills with a collaborative mindset
- Proactive orientation and ability to contribute solutions and improvements
Skills
Experience
Minimum one year of successful experience in workshop planning, atelier scheduling, and/or logistics operations within a manufacturing or luxury goods environment.
Education
Training or diploma in supply chain management, operations management, or a related field.
