Role & Responsibilities
- Support the end‑to‑end payroll cycle through data entry, validation and reconciliation of payroll inputs.
- Maintain and update employee records in the HRIS, ensuring accuracy of personal, tax and compensation data.
- Prepare routine payroll and HR reports and ad‑hoc analyses for People Operations and Finance stakeholders.
- Assist with benefits administration tasks and basic employee enquiries related to pay, leave and deductions.
- Run data quality checks and assist with month‑end payroll close activities and audit documentation.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve payroll discrepancies and escalate complex issues to senior staff.
- Contribute to process improvement projects to increase efficiency and compliance within payroll operations.
- Ensure strict confidentiality and compliance with relevant labour laws and internal policies.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor's or Master's programme in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
- Strong numerical aptitude and meticulous attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and a customer‑service orientation.
- Authorization to work in the United States for the duration of the internship.

Experience
Entry level — internship or up to 1 year of relevant experience preferred. Prior exposure to payroll administration, HR operations or finance through internships, part‑time roles or university projects is advantageous.
Education
Enrolled in or recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related field.
