Role & Responsibilities

  • Execute end-to-end payroll processing for Swiss entities, ensuring accurate calculation of salaries, deductions and net pay.
  • Administer statutory social insurance contributions and declarations (AHV/IV/EO, ALV, UVG) and manage related employer/employee reporting obligations.
  • Prepare and submit wage tax withholdings and liaise with cantonal tax authorities as required.
  • Maintain and reconcile payroll master data, payroll journals and month‑/year‑end reconciliations in coordination with Finance.
  • Respond to employee inquiries on payslips, social insurance and payroll-related matters while maintaining strict confidentiality.
  • Coordinate with HR, finance and external service providers (third‑party payroll bureaus, insurers) to ensure seamless payroll delivery.
  • Support audits and statutory inspections, prepare ad hoc reports and implement process improvements to strengthen controls and compliance.
  • Manage payroll aspects of employee lifecycle events, including joiners, leavers, leaves of absence, salary changes and cross-border assignments.

Qualifications

  • Proven knowledge of Swiss payroll legislation and social insurance systems (AHV/IV/EO, ALV, UVG) and wage tax requirements.
  • Strong numerical accuracy, attention to detail and demonstrable experience with payroll controls and reconciliations.
  • High degree of discretion and ability to handle confidential employee and compensation information.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the capacity to manage deadlines in a month‑end payroll calendar.
  • Professional communication skills for liaison with internal stakeholders and external authorities/providers.
