Montblanc Operations Manager position in New York. Lead boutique operations, inventory, and team for luxury watch and jewelry retailer.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage boutique operations, fostering a positive and productive work environment in partnership with sales and leadership teams
  • Delegate tasks effectively to ensure efficient workflow and optimal team performance
  • Implement and lead training programs to enhance team skills and brand knowledge
  • Oversee all aspects of inventory management, including receiving, sending, handling, storage, and cycle counts
  • Implement and maintain accurate inventory control procedures to minimize discrepancies and losses
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and optimize stock levels
  • Develop and implement operational procedures to streamline processes and improve efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with all Richemont policies and procedures, including security, safety, handling of merchandise, and loss prevention
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement
  • Manage the boutique's budget, controlling expenses and maximizing profitability
  • Serve as liaison between the boutique and corporate departments, ensuring effective communication
  • Communicate regularly with the Boutique Director, Sales Managers, and Sales Associates on operational matters
  • Ensure exceptional customer service, addressing complaints and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Monitor customer feedback and implement strategies to improve the customer experience
  • Oversee the client service journey, optimizing repair completion times and managing repairs inventory

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field preferred
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in retail operations
  • At least 2 years in a management or supervisory role
  • Proven leadership skills with ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Strong understanding of inventory management principles and best practices
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and retail management software
  • Basic knowledge of SAP
  • Experience in the luxury goods industry is a plus
