Richemont is seeking a Micromechanics Apprentice in Buttes for a four-year CFC apprenticeship in CNC component manufacturing. The apprentice programs and operates conventional and CNC machines, produces and inspects precision components, and completes practical and theoretical training through the dual school-and-company system.
Role & Responsibilities
- Program conventional and CNC machines.
- Operate conventional and CNC machines to manufacture components.
- Inspect machined components for conformity, correct them and clean them.
- Transfer programs and tool offsets to CNC machines.
- Take measurements and reference points for components and tools, then enter them into the machine control.
- Prepare work and machines to manufacture components or assemblies according to specifications.
- Prepare plans and sketch components.
Qualifications
- Currently in the 11th year of secondary school and keen to learn a practical, hands-on trade.
- Enthusiastic, proactive, organised and rigorous, with an appreciation for precision work.
- Advanced general academic level, particularly in mathematics.
Skills
Education
Currently in the 11th year of secondary school. The four-year CFC apprenticeship follows a dual school-and-company system: practical training at CAAJ during the first two years and at Manufacture ValFleurier during the final two years, with theoretical classes at CPNE in Le Locle throughout. CFC is a Federal Certificate of Capacity.
