Richemont is hiring a Merchandising Analyst Intern in Milan to support assortment planning, reporting and inventory analysis for its luxury maisons.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support monthly and ad-hoc merchandising and sales analysis to monitor performance against targets and KPIs (sell-through, stock cover, sell-in/sell-out).
- Prepare and maintain merchandising reports and dashboards for buying, planning and retail teams; ensure data accuracy and timely distribution.
- Assist in inventory analysis and stock optimisation projects, identifying overstocks, replenishment needs and risk areas.
- Contribute to assortment and allocation analysis to support buying decisions and window/seasonal planning.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (buying, retail operations, supply chain, commercial) on analytical projects and presentations.
- Perform data cleansing, validation and basic modelling to support forecasting and scenario testing.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor's or Master's programme in Business, Economics, Fashion Management, Data Science, Statistics or a related discipline.
- Strong numerical aptitude with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to translate data into actionable commercial insights and clear presentations for stakeholders.
- Proven organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities within deadlines.
Skills
Experience
Previous internship experience or university project work in merchandising, retail analytics, merchandise planning or commercial analysis is preferred but not mandatory. Demonstrable experience manipulating datasets and producing business reports is advantageous.
Education
Enrolled in or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Economics, Fashion Management, Data Science, Statistics or a related field.
