Richemont seeks a Merchandiser (6-month temporary) in Seoul. Short-term role focused on assortment planning, forecasting and vendor coordination.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support seasonal range and assortment planning aligned with brand directives and local market dynamics.
- Produce sales and inventory forecasts, monitor sell-through rates and adjust allocations to optimise stock performance.
- Analyse sales, margin and trend data to inform buying decisions, pricing and promotional strategies.
- Coordinate with buying, design, logistics and retail teams to ensure timely product flow and store replenishment.
- Manage vendor and supplier communications for order follow-up, delivery schedules and quality issues.
- Prepare regular performance reports and presentations for commercial review and stakeholder meetings.
- Assist with ad hoc merchandising projects and local market initiatives during the six-month assignment.
Qualifications
- 2+ years' professional experience in merchandising, buying or planning within fashion or luxury retail.
- Demonstrable track record of commercial accountability—forecasting, assortment execution and inventory control.
- Strong numerical and analytical capability with experience interpreting sales and margin KPIs.
- Experience working within multi-channel retail or with international supplier networks.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced retail environment and adapt to changing business priorities.
Skills
Experience
Minimum two years' hands-on experience in merchandising, buying or merchandise planning within fashion or luxury retail environments, with demonstrable competence in forecasting, stock allocation and commercial analysis.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, Retail Management or a related discipline.
