Richemont seeks a Media Manager in Tokyo to lead paid, programmatic and social media strategy for its maisons.
Role & Responsibilities
- Define and execute integrated media strategies (performance, programmatic, social, search and display) to meet brand KPIs across awareness, consideration and acquisition funnels.
- Plan, negotiate and buy media inventory across programmatic platforms, social channels and search; manage pacing and allocation of local media budgets.
- Work closely with brand marketing, creative, e‑commerce and CRM teams to ensure campaign messaging preserves luxury positioning and drives commercial objectives.
- Oversee external media agencies and vendors: set briefs, monitor delivery, review media plans and validate financial reconciliation.
- Implement measurement frameworks, run A/B tests and optimise campaigns using first- and third-party data to maximise ROI and conversion rates.
- Produce regular performance reporting and actionable insights for local and regional stakeholders; translate analytics into strategic recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with local advertising regulations, brand guidelines and privacy requirements (cross-border coordination with legal/privacy teams).
- Mentor and develop junior media staff or agency counterparts when applicable.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, advertising or related discipline; graduate degree or specialised media certifications desirable.
- Proven track record (typically 5+ years) in media planning and buying, with responsibility for budget management and agency oversight.
- Demonstrable experience with programmatic and paid-social platforms in an international or APAC context.
- Strong analytical capability with experience translating data into media optimisation and business impact.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and ability to communicate strategy and performance to senior marketing leaders.
- Fluent Japanese and strong professional English communication skills.

Minimum of five years in media planning and buying, ideally within luxury, premium retail or high-consideration consumer categories; experience managing agencies and multi-channel digital budgets is essential.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, advertising or a closely related field; advanced degree or industry certifications preferred.
