Richemont seeks an experienced Media Manager in Tokyo to lead integrated media planning, budget management, and digital strategy across luxury houses.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead and monitor paid planning and execution for digital and non-digital media channels, ensuring alignment with broader promotional activities and e-commerce initiatives
- Control and manage annual media budget with oversight of SEM activities and coordination with the e-commerce team
- Oversee owned media planning, particularly LINE communication strategies, with strong liaison to headquarters teams across media, content, and digital functions
- Proactively analyze data from Google Analytics, Global Media Dashboard, and other analytical tools to develop market and client understanding, communicating findings to local management and headquarters
- Monitor competitive landscape and digital movements in the market, actively sharing insights to identify strategic opportunities and inform media strategy
- Support the consumer insights team in building consumer-centric marketing strategies incorporating both internal and external data sources
- Prepare logical documentation and deliver presentations of results and strategic insights to headquarters and local management
- Track and manage media budgets by project, channel, and category for advertising and promotion control stakeholders
- Support senior leadership in developing annual marketing budget plans, reviewing monthly performance, and managing daily budget execution
- Foster team development and cross-functional collaboration with respect to company and departmental culture, providing hands-on leadership while mentoring junior team members
Qualifications
- 5–7+ years of experience in communication, agency, consumer products, retail business, or luxury category
- Business-level fluency in both Japanese and English (written and spoken)
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of digital marketing within the luxury category
- Deep understanding of media landscape encompassing both traditional and digital/social channels
- Proficiency with Google Analytics and other data analysis tools
- Strategic thinking capability integrating both qualitative and quantitative perspectives
- Experience in luxury brand business (preferred)
- Market research experience (preferred)
- Owned media account management including LINE platform (preferred)
