Donzé-Baume seeks a Precision Finishing Specialist in Les Breuleux to lead CT500/CT501 polishing operations, training, and process optimization in watch component manufacturing.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver specialized technical expertise on CT500/CT501 polishing machine preparation and finishing processes, ensuring process robustness, result reproducibility, and industrial performance optimization
- Provide direct operational support to production teams, including machine setup, first-level maintenance, troubleshooting, and adherence to standard operating procedures
- Identify technical training needs, develop and deliver training programmes, and continuously improve production processes
- Conduct defect analysis and root-cause investigations; devise and implement corrective action plans
- Collaborate with the workshop manager on work scheduling, resource allocation, and workload distribution across polishing equipment
- Monitor production metrics rigorously, including schedules, deadlines, output volumes, yield rates, scrap reduction, and rework indicators
- Resolve technical problems and quality non-conformities on the production floor; actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives including 5S/Lean audits
- Serve as the technical liaison between machining and polishing workshops to ensure compliance with surface finish specifications and aesthetic requirements
- Assess team technical versatility, mentor trial candidates on specialized equipment, and foster a positive, motivating work environment
- Relay critical equipment information to management and propose technical, organizational, and performance enhancements
Qualifications
- Formal technical qualification in mechanics, micromechanics, machining, or production engineering, or equivalent significant experience in a comparable production environment with mechanized polishing equipment
- Demonstrable in-depth knowledge and practical hands-on experience with Recomatic CT500/CT501 polishing machines or comparable finishing equipment
- Mastery of precision machining and finishing principles and techniques
- Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage priorities efficiently in a demanding production setting
- Strong communication abilities; capable of engaging effectively at all organizational levels for training and specialized technical support
- Excellent stress management and capacity to maintain a positive, motivating attitude
- Proactive mindset with demonstrated initiative in driving continuous process improvement
- Competence in fundamental computer literacy, including potential experience with machine programming software or production tracking systems

Experience
Significant hands-on experience in precision manufacturing or production environments, with demonstrated expertise in operating and maintaining mechanical polishing or finishing equipment. Experience in a luxury goods manufacturing, watch component, or jewellery production setting is strongly preferred.
Education
Technical qualification (apprenticeship certificate, diploma, or degree-level) in mechanics, micromechanics, machining, production engineering, or equivalent field. Alternatively, extensive documented production experience demonstrating equivalent technical competency.
