Richemont Materials Engineering Intern, Glovelier. 6-month research internship in metallurgy and FEA simulation for watchmaking components.
Role & Responsibilities
- Conduct a comprehensive state-of-the-art review on the subject matter
- Experimentally identify and characterize the metallurgical behavior of innovative metal alloys in parallel with existing production materials
- Develop and calibrate finite element simulation models of the thermoforming process using field measurements
- Optimize thermomechanical process parameters based on simulation results and experimental findings
- Document work output through technical notes and regular presentations to the innovation team
Qualifications
- Master's-level student or equivalent qualification in materials science, metallurgy, or mechanical engineering
- Strong foundational knowledge in metallurgy and thermomechanical transformation processes
- Demonstrated experience with finite element analysis and simulation tools, preferably Forge software
- Rigorous, methodical, and analytical mindset with strong critical thinking abilities
- Self-directed and responsible approach to project execution
Skills
Experience
Currently enrolled in a master's degree program or equivalent; hands-on experience with finite element modeling and simulation tools is essential.
Education
Master's degree (in progress) or equivalent qualification in materials science, metallurgy, mechanical engineering, or related discipline.

The successful candidate will be located in Glovelier, Jura, Switzerland, with easy access to Neuchâtel.
