Richemont is hiring a Market Controller in Bangkok. Responsible for market P&L, reporting, forecasting and finance business partnering.
Role & Responsibilities
- Own market financial performance: prepare and present monthly P&L, balance sheet and cash flow analyses to local leadership and regional finance.
- Drive budgeting and forecasting processes, delivering timely rolling forecasts and scenario analyses to inform commercial decision-making.
- Perform variance analysis versus budget and prior periods, identifying key performance drivers and recommending corrective actions.
- Lead month-end and year-end close activities for the market, ensuring accuracy of inventory accounting, accruals and intercompany reconciliations.
- Implement and monitor internal controls and compliance with group accounting policies and applicable IFRS standards.
- Act as finance business partner to sales, merchandising and operations teams to support pricing, margin optimization and inventory strategy.
- Coordinate audit requests and liaise with regional finance, tax and external advisors on statutory and tax reporting matters.
- Identify process improvements and contribute to ERP, reporting and consolidation projects to increase efficiency and data quality.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
- Professional accounting qualification preferred (ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent).
- Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS) and retail inventory accounting.
- Proven ability to translate financial analysis into actionable commercial recommendations.
Skills
Experience
Minimum 5+ years of progressive finance experience, ideally within luxury retail, watches/jewellery or premium consumer goods, with demonstrated responsibility for market or country P&L and close-to-commercial partnering.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; professional accounting qualification (ACCA/CIMA/CPA) preferred.
