Vacheron Constantin seeks a Manufacturing Training Specialist in Plan-les-Ouates, Switzerland to lead production team training and competency development initiatives.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead the development and continuous refinement of manufacturing training plans in collaboration with workshop leadership and senior management to address workforce versatility, operational safety, professional development, and long-term employability
- Establish governance frameworks and monitoring protocols (including key performance indicators) for training execution by workshop managers, with emphasis on digital tools and competency tracking systems
- Author and update technical training materials in partnership with skilled craftspeople and subject-matter experts
- Disseminate pedagogical best practices to enhance trainer effectiveness and overall training quality and impact
- Champion competency-related strategic initiatives, including identification, development, and valorization of critical skills
- Provide continuous guidance and coaching to management teams to strengthen their capability in managing team competencies and fostering greater operational autonomy
Qualifications
- Demonstrated success in designing, building, and monitoring comprehensive training and development plans
- Proven project management experience, preferably in technical or manufacturing-intensive environments
- Strong command of training methodologies and instructional design principles acquired through formal qualification and/or professional experience
- Natural aptitude for understanding and working with technical trades and specialized manufacturing processes
- Excellent interpersonal and mentoring capabilities with capacity to empower management teams
- Advanced proficiency with digital tools and learning management systems
- Fluent in French with solid working proficiency in English
Skills
Experience
Successful background in building and monitoring training plans and managing projects, ideally within technical or manufacturing sectors. Operational experience in production roles within industrial settings is advantageous. Experience coaching and enabling management teams on workforce competency management is desired.
Education
Formal training qualification or professional development in education, instructional design, human resources development, or a related discipline.
