Richemont seeks a Managing Director for Japan—an executive role leading luxury operations across Tokyo and the region.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all business operations across Richemont's brand portfolio in Japan
- Develop and execute strategic market initiatives to drive growth and market share expansion
- Manage P&L responsibility and financial performance of the Japanese division
- Build and lead a senior management team across retail, wholesale, and corporate functions
- Represent Richemont to stakeholders, partners, and government bodies in Japan
- Drive brand positioning and digital transformation initiatives across the market
Qualifications
- Extensive experience leading luxury goods or hospitality operations at a regional or country level
- Proven track record of P&L management and financial acumen in complex, multi-brand environments
- Deep understanding of the Japanese luxury market, consumer preferences, and retail landscape
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building capabilities with retailers, distributors, and partners
Skills
Experience
15+ years of progressive leadership experience in the luxury goods, fashion, hospitality, or related sectors; minimum 5+ years in a regional or country-level executive role; demonstrated experience operating in the Asian luxury market, preferably Japan
Education
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Economics, or related discipline; MBA or equivalent advanced business qualification preferred
