Richemont Hong Kong seeks a Manager, Commercial Learning & Development to coach boutique teams and drive sales performance through strategic L&D initiatives.
Role & Responsibilities
- Drive performance improvement through observation-based coaching of sales, service, and client experience teams on selling skills, client development, and client experience aligned to the Chez Cartier model
- Conduct side-by-side coaching on the boutique floor to support one-to-one development and address performance gaps
- Craft boutique visit agendas and targeted coaching plans using key performance data trends and commercial KPIs
- Observe boutique morning briefs and Chez Cartier Mornings during visits, providing feedback to leaders to enhance daily communication and learning moments
- Complete post-visit boutique reports summarizing coaching goals, progress, setbacks, and actions for boutique teams, HR, and regional leadership
- Prepare weekly summary reports to the Director of L&T highlighting actions, accomplishments, and progress on key commercial initiatives
- Support boutique leadership development through side-by-side 'coaching the coach' engagements and assess progress on coaching ability
- Use data metrics to track coaching impact on commercial priorities and adjust coaching plans based on qualitative and quantitative analysis
- Partner quarterly with Retail leaders and Boutique Leaders to review boutique coaching plan progress, impact, and revisions
- Collaborate with Retail leadership and HRBP to provide input on individual development plans to elevate team performance
- Strengthen integration of new hires into the Maison to accelerate performance
- Assist boutique teams in embracing company values, vision, and strategy
- Facilitate in-boutique small group trainings on selling skills, client development, client experience, and product knowledge
- Lead learning & development 'run of show' initiatives for new boutique openings, relocations, and renovations
- Champion Cartier's Learner Experience Platform (MyLearning) to foster a robust learning culture within boutiques
- Communicate in-boutique dynamics and training needs to the Corporate L&D team
- Assist with guest interactions during events and activations as appropriate
Qualifications
- Proven experience in retail or hospitality coaching, learning and development, or performance management within a luxury brand environment
- Demonstrated expertise in coaching and facilitation skills with the ability to observe, assess, and provide constructive feedback
- Strong understanding of sales methodologies, client development strategies, and client experience best practices
- Experience working with boutique or retail leadership teams to drive commercial results
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build credibility across all organizational levels
- Data-driven mindset with ability to analyze performance metrics and translate insights into actionable coaching plans
- Project management experience in running training 'run of show' initiatives or boutique operational launches
Skills
Experience
Typically 5–8 years of progressive experience in retail operations, learning and development, or performance coaching, preferably with exposure to luxury retail environments, boutique team management, or high-touch client experience roles.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience in retail management or training & development.
