Richemont Stamping Technician position in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. Manage machine setup, quality control, and production of luxury watch components.
Role & Responsibilities
- Set up stamping and pressing machines in alignment with production scheduling and validate new tooling components
- Perform balance wheel calibration and run-in procedures with rigorous first-piece inspection protocols
- Monitor machine functionality, coordinate preventive maintenance activities, and maintain optimal die and stamping tool conditions
- Execute manufacturing operations to meet established production cadence targets while maintaining quality standards and adhering to work instructions
- Conduct statistical quality controls and self-inspection of produced components according to established quality norms
- Alert supervisory personnel to process anomalies or excessive scrap; perform initial diagnostics (30 minutes maximum) before escalating issues
- Collaborate with technical specialists on problem resolution and participate in continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with safety, security, and environmental protocols; actively contribute to accident prevention and workplace safety culture
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in a similar stamping, pressing, or manufacturing setup role within an industrial environment
- Proficiency with machine setup, calibration, and maintenance procedures
- Knowledge of quality control methodologies and statistical process control
- Ability to interpret technical specifications and work instructions
