Richemont seeks an experienced Machining Specialist in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. Lead technical excellence and team development in precision machining operations.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Serve as the technical reference for all machining operations across the machine park, including turning and 3-axis milling equipment
  • Define, validate, and optimize machining parameters to ensure conformity and repeatability
  • Perform and/or validate machine setups to guarantee compliance with internal standards and specifications
  • Maintain machinery and associated equipment to ensure optimal operational performance
  • Identify, diagnose, and resolve machining defects and production anomalies with rapid turnaround
  • Implement and monitor corrective actions in collaboration with production, methods, and quality teams
  • Contribute to the optimization and industrialization of existing and new products
  • Coordinate with scheduling to ensure adherence to delivery timelines and priority management
  • Train and mentor workshop staff, including apprentices, to ensure skill development and knowledge transfer
  • Enforce adherence to workplace instructions and internal standards across all team members
  • Foster a positive work environment through effective communication and cross-team collaboration
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards and practices
  • Conduct candidate assessments during recruitment processes for machining positions

Qualifications

  • CFC (Federal Diploma) in polymechanics or equivalent recognized qualification
  • Confirmed professional experience in machining, particularly turning and milling operations
  • Strong proficiency with CNC machining equipment
  • Regular operational experience with Fanuc and Siemens control systems
  • Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve production anomalies rapidly
  • Proven capacity to structure and communicate technical knowledge pedagogically
  • Natural leadership aptitude with ability to mentor, guide, and motivate teams
  • Strong analytical mindset with rigorous problem-solving capability
  • Excellent organizational and autonomous work management skills
