Role & Responsibilities

  • Manage comprehensive customs operations for all import and export activities, including preparation of import customs declarations and export customs filings in the ATLAS system
  • Proactively communicate with customs authorities and prepare proforma invoices with precision and accuracy
  • Request and manage certificates for regulated goods from German federal authorities and monitor timely receipt of AGVs before the 90-day deadline
  • Oversee warehouse goods receipt and dispatch processes linked to import and export activities, including booking transactions, serial number tracking, export picking, quality checks, and international shipment packaging
  • Maintain close coordination with international carriers and import brokers to ensure punctual and seamless cross-border transport execution, including pickup orders, event shipments, and photo shoot logistics
  • Contribute to monthly closing procedures and ensure correct allocation of international transport costs
  • Ensure compliance with all international trade and customs regulations and implement logistics processes according to corporate guidelines
  • Guarantee proper digital archiving of all relevant customs and shipping documentation per applicable regulations
  • Support annual inventory procedures and maintain data quality for customs-related stock information; correct erroneous SAP entries as needed
  • Act as a competent point of contact for local Maisons on all logistics inquiries, particularly export and import matters

Qualifications

  • Completed vocational training or equivalent professional experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or international trade with strong focus on international logistics
  • Demonstrable experience in a similar role with emphasis on export and import handling or comparable environment such as customs agency or international freight forwarder
  • Expert knowledge of customs operations, Incoterms, and CARNET ATA handling including required documentation for air and road transport
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP, particularly logistics and customs clearance modules
  • Native proficiency in German; fluent business English is mandatory; additional foreign languages advantageous
  • Strong organizational and methodical approach with demonstrated customer orientation and flexibility

Experience
