Van Cleef & Arpels seeks a certified Jeweler/Setter Lecturer in Tokyo to teach Savoir Faire courses at L'ECOLE jewelry school. Bilingual (Japanese/English) required.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead and co-facilitate Savoir Faire courses and events for external and internal audiences on the L'ECOLE campus and within Nomadic School frameworks
- Support the design, revision, and periodic updating of educational content delivered in both in-person and remote formats
- Proofread Japanese translations of course materials and educational content provided by external vendors; undertake ad-hoc translation support
- Collaborate with the training team to promote continuous learning and support the Maison's educational objectives
- Contribute to the development and refinement of educational materials aligned with L'ECOLE's core pillars of jewelry know-how, gemology, and art history
- Participate in the adaptation and evolution of course talks and content to maintain relevance and excellence
Qualifications
- Professional jeweler/setter certification
- Extensive hands-on experience in jewelry craftsmanship and setting techniques
- Business-level fluency in both Japanese and English with excellent written and spoken communication skills
- Strong organizational skills, team orientation, responsiveness, and positive demeanor
- Proficiency with personal computer systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex jewelry concepts to diverse audiences
Skills
Experience
Extensive professional experience as a certified jeweler or setter with demonstrated expertise in jewelry design, fabrication, and gemstone setting. Experience in educational delivery, content creation, or knowledge transfer within a luxury or artisanal context is strongly valued.
Education
Professional jewelry maker/setter certification or equivalent credential demonstrating mastery of jewelry craftsmanship.
