Richemont is hiring a Leather Goods Product Development Coordinator in Scandicci, Italy — coordinate development from prototype to production.
Role & Responsibilities
- Coordinate the end‑to‑end product development process for leather goods, from design handoff through prototype, approvals and production launch.
- Manage development calendars, track sample progress and ensure milestones are met across internal teams and external suppliers.
- Prepare and maintain technical packs, spec sheets, BOMs and fit/trim/material approval documentation.
- Liaise between design, sourcing, quality assurance, production and external manufacturers to resolve technical issues and ensure compliance with brand standards.
- Support costing exercises and provide accurate information for production readiness and purchase orders.
- Organize fittings, quality inspections and sample reviews; document feedback and drive corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate product development records within PLM/ERP and ensure traceability of materials and trims.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2–4 years' experience in product development or technical coordination within leather goods, accessories or footwear.
- Practical knowledge of leather types, construction techniques, hardware and finishing processes.
- Proven ability to read and create technical packs, spec sheets and BOMs.
- Strong organizational skills with experience managing development calendars and multi‑stakeholder workflows.
- Available to travel to suppliers and factories as required.
Skills
Experience
Typically 2–4 years in a product development, technical design or sample coordination role within luxury leather goods, accessories or closely related categories, with demonstrable exposure to supplier management and production follow‑through.
Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Fashion Design, Industrial Design, Materials Science, Product Development or a related discipline; vocational training in leather goods is acceptable.

This position is based in Scandicci, Tuscany, Italy, within easy reach of Florence.
