Richemont seeks Laboratory Technician in Delémont, Switzerland for materials analysis and quality control in luxury jewellery and watches sector.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Conduct analyses and perform various materials tests including sample preparation, metallographic analysis, optical microscopy, and mechanical testing
  • Analyze, interpret, and document test results with precision and accuracy
  • Prepare detailed analytical reports documenting findings and methodologies
  • Pursue additional analyses as required to support continuous quality improvement
  • Propose and implement continuous improvement actions to optimize laboratory processes and material specifications

Qualifications

  • Training or diploma in laboratory technician specialization in materials, physics, or equivalent discipline
  • Proficiency in sample preparation techniques for metallographic analysis
  • Expertise with optical microscopy and mechanical testing equipment
  • Knowledge of physical and optical property measurement techniques
  • Familiarity with material corrosion analysis and/or chemical analysis techniques such as ICP-OES (preferred)
  • Attention to detail and methodical approach to laboratory work
  • Strong adaptability and learning capability
  • Collaborative mindset and flexibility
